Are you a film maker in Winnipeg who has a keen eye for architecture and a quick story to tell? The Architecture and Design Film Festival (A+DFF) is calling for submissions for its short film competition, ArchiShorts, which will be held on April 18th, 2015 at 1 p.m. at the Winnipeg Film Group’s Cinematheque. The competition is part of the larger A+DFF to be held at Cinematheque from April 15 – April 19.
The competition is open to all and there are no fees for registering. All entrants are required to make a short film about architecture that lasts no longer than two minutes. There is one youth category and one adult category and each entrant can submit a maximum of two films. All entries must be submitted to the A+DFF via email: firstname.lastname@example.org no later than April 6, 2015.
The registration form and more information about the competition can be found at the festival’s main website: http://adff.ca/archishorts/
With winter out of the way, now is a great time to capture Winnipeg’s rich collection of building architecture on film. Maybe you’ve got something historical in mind about the Grain Exchange Building, or there’s a modern story waiting to be told about Winnipeg James Armstrong International Airport? Either way, the festival’s programmers eagerly await your entry. Good luck to everyone!
